A professional chef of twenty seven years, previously an actress and model, grandaughter of legendary actors Mickey Rooney & Martha Vickers, Dominique Rooney started her journey into a plant based lefestyle seen years ago.
Teaching her family what she was learning was no easy task! Her motivation grew the more she learned about animal cruelty and factory farming. "Once you stop eating animals it becomes spiritual. Conscious living is important for EVERYONE to learn. "
Dominique left the restaurant bizz but not before turning Sonoma Cider in Healdsburg, California into one of the first "Plant Based Option" Gastro Pub Menu's in Sonoma County, then went to work as Miyoko Shinner's Corporate Chef while developing a private Plant Based Meal Prep service.
"Going back to a regular restaurant kitchen was not an option for me."
By using sustainable, organics, biodynamics, locally sourced product, learning that there is a sustainable way to teach, cook and eat animal products. By using less and sourcing local you can guide others to eat mindfully, without making anyone feel forced and judged.
Dominique has put her knowledge and experience toward a cause that is attractive to everyone and that can ultimately make a difference environmentally and physically, one person at a time.
